Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace at Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller Center will no longer solely have an ice skating rink. From now until October the rink has been converted to Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace. The Roller Boogie will include DJ sets, live music performances, concerts, roller boogie nights, food, a viewing deck, and a store at the Channel Gardens.

Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace was originally opened in 1979 by Ian "Flipper" Ross in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Now Liberty Ross (his daughter), the rink's co-founder, and creative director has partnered The Saks Fifth Avenue Foundation in helping to promote better mental health in NYC. They are encouraging visitors to be present and in the moment; as they say, “Scroll less, Roll more.”
